The Limited Edition red velvet prairie dress is designed by Brocarde. The dress features embroidery which showcases lyrics written by Brocarde, which come from her Covid Inspired Christmas song “Waiting For January”.
The lyrics read:
“Oh no its Christmas again…
When will 2020 end?
The whole wide world is thinking of survival,
We’re not so obsessed with Santa’s arrival.
Oh no it’s christmas again
Longing to see family and friends,
Trying to find a little normality,
You’ll find me under the christmas tree, waiting for January.”
The lyrics sit across the front of the dress and surround stitched illustrations of a christmas tree, presents and snow, all of which are hand sketched, digitalised and then transformed into stitches by Brocarde. The design has been embroidered onto duchess satin and edged with a velvet and lace trim, the trim also provides a decorative waist band which goes round the circumference of the dress and cuffs.
The dress is made from a red velvet fabric and is designed to flatter the figure and accentuate the waistline. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders to construct a puff sleeve which is elasticated at the cuff and flares out over the wrist. It is fastened by a zip down the back of the garment and has a square neckline.
The dress is worn by Brocarde in the “Waiting For January” music video which is released on 25th November 2020.
