Last Supper Coat
The Limited Edition floral velvet coat is designed by Brocarde. The coat features embroidery which showcases lyrics from her debut single Last Supper.
The lyrics read:
“What will you consume at your last supper?
Self indulgence or the arms of your mother?
What will you drink at your last supper?
Liquor of a stranger?
Love of a lover?
What would you excrete after your last supper?
Obsession with celebrity?
The need for conformity?
Would you embrace what you class as abnormality?”
The lyrics sit across the back of the coat and surround a bottle of champagne, burger, fries, fruit, ice cream and all the items you would expect to indulge in at a “Last Supper”, all of which are hand sketched, digitalised and then transformed into stitches by Brocarde. The design has been embroidered onto duchess satin and edged with a velvet and crochet trim. In addition to the back embroidery a smaller embroidered patch sits on the front of the coat, featuring the words “What will you consume at your Last Supper”. The illustrations on this smaller patch are a burger, fries, apples and there is an embroidered letter B, from the Brocarde logo.
The coat is made from a black floral velvet fabric and is finished with a detachable faux fur collar, 3/4 length bell sleeves and side pocket detailing. The faux fur collar can be removed by unbuttoning it and detaching it from the velvet under collar. The coat looks great worn with or without the collar, and serves as more of a jacket when the faux fur is removed.
The coat features five vintage style metal buttons to fasten it down the front and two buttons for decorative purposes on the back.
