Didn’t You Hear My Gun Picnic Dress
The Limited Edition burgundy velvet picnic dress is designed by Brocarde. The dress features embroidery which showcases lyrics written by Brocarde, which come from her song “Love Me ‘Til I’m Beautiful”.
The lyrics read:
“Fall down the hole,
Eat out my soul, It’s time for you to run,
Baby’s got a gun.”
“You fell down the hole,
Now i can be whole,
Didn’t you think to run?
Didn’t you hear my gun?”
The lyrics sit across the front of the dress and surround stitched illustrations of a rabbit, shotgun and lots of roses and love hearts, which are items that feature in the “Love Me ‘Til I’m Beautiful” music video, all of which are hand sketched, digitalised and then transformed into stitches by Brocarde. The design has been embroidered onto duchess satin and edged with a velvet and pleated burgundy trim.
The dress is made from a burgundy velvet fabric and is designed to flatter the figure and accentuate the waistline. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders to construct a puff sleeve which is elasticated at the cuff and flares out over the wrist. It is fastened by a zip down the back of the garment and has a contrasting collar which is made from gold printed velvet. The dress gives the illusion that it is a two-piece however it is attached and has a waistband that you can tie to nip in the waist and adjust the sizing.
The dress is inspired by the Brocarde “Love Me ‘Til I’m Beautiful” music video.
