Brocarde has recently revealed her secret to surviving a year of lockdown hell, a secret tour of graveyards, where she performed to the “grateful dead”.
She would sneak into graveyards in the dead of night and perform concerts amongst the tombstones, she says the tour gave her a cathartic release from the claustrophobia of lockdown and gave her the opportunity to perform when it was forbidden to socialise with the living.
Brocarde said, “I always get goosebumps singing the opening line to Last Supper as the lyrics are ‘screaming in silence, au revoir belongs to me. Singing those lyrics across the tombstones made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, as it felt like a nod to the dearly departed. I really felt like I was screaming into the silence of the graveyard, so it was very fitting.”
